Renovation of an apartment in Rome Eur District
Rome Eur | 70 sqm
Contemporary Design
A small apartment spread over two levels, connected by a wood-covered staircase that is not only a functional element but also the true focal point of the design. Its design sculpts the space, bringing together the kitchen area, while the open steps align with one of the strips of parquet flooring laid in a “tatami” pattern, creating a refined interplay of geometries and directions. The material continuity between the floor and the staircase amplifies the perception: the result is a compact but dynamic environment, in which every detail contributes to defining a coherent, warm, and contemporary identity.

Living area
The wooden floor, with a natural finish, adds elegance and warmth to the room, becoming the material basis of the project. Its shade interacts with the neutral colors of the sofa and walls, creating a harmonious and contemporary balance. An integrated lighting system, with light cuts and spotlights, enhances the surfaces and emphasizes the volumes, highlighting the verticality of the two-level space.
Functionality and design
This apartment is a perfect example of how functionality and style can come together in a balanced and coherent contemporary design. The use of natural materials, neutral colors, and modern decorative elements creates a welcoming and refined atmosphere, designed to promote both relaxation and conviviality.
