What lies behind the career of a real estate agent? What is their story? What has made their journey special? This is why Vita da Agente (Life as an Agent) exists, a series dedicated to the stories of our consultants and real estate agents who make our Group great every day.

Young people who put themselves out there, who want to grow not only professionally but also in life, and who have chosen to tell their stories through our microphones, as a source of inspiration and motivation for those who dream of becoming real estate agents.

Today we meet Vahe Tarakhchyan, Team Manager Account at the Toscano Torino Centro Agency: he left Armenia and chose Turin as his home. And Toscano as his family.

Hi Vahe, tell us a little about yourself and how you started your career in real estate.

“Before joining Toscano, I was doing something completely different—I was in the Armenian army. But life isn't always straightforward. I found myself facing a radical change and had to decide which path to take. I've always had a passion for houses and thought that real estate might be right for me. So I started working as a real estate consultant at Toscano.”

A significant change: how did you deal with it?

"The hardest part was choosing what to do. I admit I was afraid to take the leap. It's a bit like jumping out of a plane with a parachute: you're scared at first, but then there comes a moment when you realize you've made the right choice. The most complex step is crossing that line that separates uncertainty from possibility. I had doubts too, but I set a clear goal and chose something I really liked, something that stimulated me and pushed me to constantly improve."

What made you realize that in order to grow, you had to do something different?

“I asked myself where I saw myself in ten years. And the version of myself I imagined was not where I was. That's where the drive to change and build a career as a real estate agent came from.”

What are your keywords for dealing with change?

“Determination, because if you don't set yourself a goal, there's nothing worth working for, and discipline, which is stronger than motivation, which comes and goes. Our future depends solely on ourselves, on our minds, which is why discipline is the only thing that keeps us going even when everything else is lacking. Results are the fruit of our determination and discipline; nothing else is needed.”

How would you describe yourself?

“I would describe myself as a disciplined person. I am committed to doing what I enjoy and achieving the goals I set for myself. But I am also curious and open to new experiences: that's how you grow.”

How do you feel when you have to do something new?

“Adrenaline. It's what drives you forward even when you're afraid. Change forces you to step outside your comfort zone, but that's where growth happens.”

What is one lesson you've learned from doing this new activity?

“There was a period when I took on a lot of assignments and rested on my laurels. It was a serious mistake, because it was precisely by stopping sowing that I found nothing to reap within a few months. On the other hand, it is from mistakes that we learn, and that was my lesson. It was a powerful lesson: to be successful as a real estate agent, you need consistency.”

Are you satisfied with your career path?

“You're never completely satisfied, because you can always do more, go beyond what you think is the end goal. But today I feel alive, motivated, and proud of what I've achieved.”

What does being a real estate agent mean to you?

“It means knowing how to manage every stage: from the first doorbell ring in the area to the handshake of the people we accompany in their life choices. That's right, we help people realize their dreams.”
