Igor Cavicchi becomes Silver Area Manager Lazio

Determination, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a focus on people: this is how a real growth model is built. With his fifth agency in Rome he reaches a new milestone
You recently became Silver Area Manager Lazio for the Gruppo Toscano, opening your fifth affiliated office. Are you satisfied? “I’m definitely satisfied because it was a goal I set for myself a few years ago, and I managed to achieve it exactly in my twenty-fifth year at Toscano. Now I want to keep going down this path by setting new growth targets.”
You opened this new affiliated office with Andrea Mascolo, your very young partner, just twenty-five years old. How did you train him to reach this first big milestone? “First of all, I shared my goal with him, explaining my mission from the very beginning - and he embraced it as his own. We worked together in a way that prepared us for that objective. We both believed in it, and we made it happen.”
And achieving it means Andrea was ready. “For Andrea it wasn’t a leap into the unknown at all—I’d call it more of a qualitative leap. For someone so young, it’s an important step in terms of training and personal growth.”
Now that you have five agencies, you’ll definitely need to carry out meaningful coordination across all the offices. “Absolutely. It’s essential to do constant, regular monitoring. Personally, every week I coordinate with all the teams in the agencies.”
You went from being a real estate agent to becoming an entrepreneur in the sector: how has your work changed over the years? “It’s completely different. Being a real estate agent is a much more individual activity compared to being an entrepreneur. Coordinating several agencies - in my case, five - means overseeing, supporting, and helping all my people every single day.”
Do you think it would have been different without the support of the Group? “I believe in the strength of the Group. I believe that when you work together, you get better results. Personally, on my own I never would have managed to open all the agencies I have today - and I wouldn’t even have wanted to. At Toscano, unlike in other systems, there’s the huge advantage of always having someone ready to help you, both with training and commercial development.”
And what does being an entrepreneur mean to you? “To me, being an entrepreneur is a mission. It’s what I wanted, and what I sacrificed a lot of my life for - happily. When you decide to move from being a real estate agent to becoming an entrepreneur, your entire perspective changes, because it means having a team, having employees, dedicating your time to helping the group grow. Today, my focus is on training new talents to expand our internal network.”
Speaking of training and growth: yours is a story of growth within the Group. How and where did you start? “I started 25 years ago in the direct network, in the Ostia agency, as an intern (at the time, a canvasser). I believed in this job from day one, even though I had given myself a six-month limit to understand whether it would become my career. At the end of those six months, I opened my first agency.”
What do you expect from your people? “My goal is to help new resources grow. I hope my future will always be tied to this type of work. It’s truly rewarding to see young people, like Andrea, step up and open their own agency. I hope to continue having the opportunity to help them make their dreams come true.”
Your next goals? “To see the people on my teams achieve important objectives, and help them reach meaningful national-level results.”
Are there new openings on the horizon? “There’s definitely something in the works. I’m developing the idea especially with the younger team members. Since we’ve already consolidated a specific area in the outskirts of Rome with the five agencies, the plan is to continue in that direction.”
Is it a winning strategy? “Absolutely. We’ve grown by expanding within a defined area, and today we manage a significant portion of the real estate market in Rome’s outskirts. And having all the offices close together is like being one large agency. I can say that we are an important presence in the area.”
