From Real Estate Agent to Entrepreneur: Massimiliano Bono opens his first Toscano agency in Catanzaro Lido

With a strong passion for real estate, years of experience in the field, and a lot of ambition, Massimiliano Bono inaugurates the first Toscano affiliate in Catanzaro Lido together with Antonio Pizzuti, Regional Area Manager of the Toscano Group.

Hi Massimiliano, first of all, congratulations on your new adventure. This is your first agency: can you tell us how you got here?

“I started my career at Toscano in 2021, becoming and working as an agent for three years. Then, in light of the goals we had achieved, my colleague and now partner Antonio Pizzuti and I decided to put our idea of opening a Toscano affiliate in Catanzaro Lido into practice.”

And why there?

“Because it's a very interesting and highly sought-after area. It's also an area I know very well given its proximity to my city, Catanzaro. Furthermore, Catanzaro Lido is a strategic area as it is located between several key centers on the coast, which means there is a large market with demand for both sales and rentals.”

When you joined in 2021, how much experience did you have in the sector? Why did you choose to pursue a career as a real estate agent?

“I wasn't in real estate, but I still had a job that involved constant contact with the public. But I liked real estate right away, not just the business itself but also the working environment: over the years, I've met some great colleagues. So I trained myself as best I could and learned as much as possible, even though you never stop learning. Working alongside those who had more experience than me allowed me to do my job well."

Did you feel at home?

“Yes, the company itself has been close to me from the very beginning. It has counted on me and still does, and I hope to live up to its expectations. In addition, all the tools that Toscano offers us make our work much easier. If I had to go back, I would do it all again a thousand times with my eyes closed.”

When and how did you realize it was the right time to open your own agency?

“When I started to gain more experience, when I realized that I was able to manage the entire process, from acquisition to sale, accurately and without obstacles. There is always more to learn, but I felt ready to start the first Toscano affiliate.”

Did you feel supported at every stage?

“I feel supported in everything. That's why I chose to open the affiliate with my now partner Antonio Pizzuti, on whom I rely heavily—having someone with so much experience and knowledge of the industry is essential.”

What are your goals going forward?

“Definitely to get off to a good start with the Catanzaro Lido location. I expect a good number of transactions by the end of the year. The longer-term goal, however, is to expand with new agencies in nearby cities.”
